Laurel Capobianco has extensive leadership experience working in education, community non-profit organizations & international business. From early childhood classroom instruction to senior positions in post-secondary education she has developed strong external relationships with key stakeholder audiences and created brand awareness for innovative programs and services. Most recently, Capobianco helped to establish and lead the Weiming Education Group (USA), the largest K-12 private education company in China, dedicated to providing global education opportunities for Chinese & American students. She continues to provide leadership in new business development, scalability of current business practice, and overall company strategic direction.

Todd Dunckley
Vice President / Consultant
Todd has 28 years experience in public education with 26 years served as a building level administrator. He led a collaborative team of administrators, teachers and support staff in a positive and progressive educational model. His duties included oversight of traditional 9-12 operations, as well as coordination of the International Program, Early College Program, International Baccalaureate Program, Virtual Education, post-secondary articulation and partnerships, alternative education, and an arts conservatory. The daily mission was to provide a well-rounded educational experience that met the learning needs of every student, while equipping them with skill sets and experiences that readied them for a diverse living and working environment.
Todd received a Masters of Arts from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University

Ting Shen, Ph.D obtained her bachelor and master degree in Chinese language and literature respectively from Peking university and the Chinese university of Hong Kong. Her Ph.D. is in curriculum and instruction, obtained from the University of Florida. She served as an assistant professor of Chinese at the University of Mount Union for five years before she joined AIBE in 2016. Her research focuses on second language acquisition, teacher training, and high school students' academic language development. She has had extensive experience in teaching in American K-12 education and teacher training.

Yuan Li (Danny)
Director of Academic Affairs
Yuan Li received his B.A. in English Language and Literature from Zhejiang Yuexiu University of Foreign Languages in Zhejiang, China and his M.A. in K-12 Education from Eastern Michigan University in Michigan, United States.
Yuan has nearly a decade of experience in English proficiency test instruction. From his time teaching at various tutoring centers in China to the present, he has helped countless students pass tests like TOEFL, IELTS, and the SATs. Before Yuan joined BCC, he served as a teaching supervisor responsible for the professional development of a team of young teachers. He assisted them in developing curricula, lesson plans, and individualized education plans for students.
Currently, Yuan is the Director of Academic Affairs at BCC. He is responsible for the overall academic performance of students and the ongoing support of enrichment programs, online courses, and teacher training. Yuan believes that education is the best way to make a positive impact on others. At BCC, he has the responsibility and privilege to lead, inspire, and nurture students as they develop as individuals and members of a diverse community.

Aymen Ghalib has extensive experience in small-business operations and program coordination and management. Most notably, Aymen coordinated and managed various educational programs while working as a Business Development Consultant with ACCESS in Dearborn to empower recent immigrants arriving to the United States. Aymen’s responsibilities include office management, student, host family, and document organization, immigration matters, website and communication updates and assistance with student activities and special events as needed.

Alex received his master’s degree from Oakland University in Linguistics specializing in teaching English as a second language. During this time, he was able to work with a variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds. Before joining BCC, Alex held instructor positions at Northern Michigan University and various non-profit educational groups. He currently is an instructor at Oakland University teaching English and second language pedagogy.
Alex received a B.A. in History from Michigan State University and a M.A. in Linguistics from Oakland University.

Jia Bin

Yong Zhao, Ph.D
Senior Advisor
Jia Bin has 15 years' experience of teaching English and Mandarin Chinese in K-12 classrooms in China, the United Kingdom and the United States before she joins BCC International. Jia's passion for helping people from different languages and cultures to communicate has led her to become a compassionate teacher, great team worker and cultural ambassador. She now serves as the Academic Advisor and Assistant Director of BCC student center.
Jia Bin receives her B.A in English Language and Literature from Chongqing Normal University, China and M.A in Secondary Education from Oakland University, United States.
Yong Zhao, Ph.D. currently serves as the Presidential Chair & Director of the Institute for Global & Online Education in the College of Education, University of Oregon. He is also a Professor in the Department of Educational Measurement, Policy, & Leadership, & a professorial fellow at the Mitchell Institute for Health & Education Policy at Victoria University. His work focuses on the implications of globalization & technology on education and has published over 100 articles & 20 books. Zhao is a recipient of the Early Career Award from the American Educational Research Association, & was named one of the 2012 top 10 most influential people in educational technology by the Tech & Learn Magazine. In 2013, 2014 & 2015 he was ranked as the ninth most influential university-based education scholar in the United States, according to Education Week's annual ranking.
