English Immersion Elementary Teaching Positions

Northeast Yucai Experimental School
Fall 2017 Immersion Elementary Foreign Teacher Information

Shenyang, China

BCC International Education Group is located in Troy, MI. We're looking for several English teachers for our international school program in China.

Northeast Yucai School (NEYCS) was founded in 1949, and it is an authorized talent-education experimental school, directly affiliated to the Shenyang Education Commission. NEYC occupies an area of 684 acres, and has about 7000 students and 600 teachers. It includes 5 campuses and 10 sections. NEYCS can provide continuous education from pre-school to high school, and it has formed an all-round harmonious education system which integrates school, family and society education; with class teaching, out-service training and long-distance education complementing each other; public education, private education, and joint education promoting each other. NEYCS will stick to the goal of making a world-class school, creating our leading brand of talent, group and international education.Our school is located between Shenyang City and Fushun City. It takes one hour by bus to get to either of the cities. There are school buses available on campus to commute.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • A valid Elementary Education license issued by the Department of Education in any states in the US is preferred

  • American English Native speaker. Appreciation, experience, and understanding of American culture

  • Background in English as a second language preferred. A focus on early childhood, elementary, art, music, social studies and science education experience is a plus

  • Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team

  • Positive working attitude and capability of cross-cultural communication

  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills and strong motivational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Work a minimum 40 hours per week

  • Serve as the English Immersion classroom teacher for assigned grade level(s)

  • Develop curriculum and teach subjects, including but not limited to: English language arts, social studies, science, arts and P.E.

  • Develop unit plans, lesson plans and instructional materials and provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student

  • Observe other international and Chinese teachers' classes and submit observation reports

  • Report students’ transcripts and evaluations to the administration office by the end of each semester, and perform other related duties as assigned
